For Petitioner(s): Mr.K.S.Viswanathan, Senior Counsel for Ms.T.Hemalatha For Respondent(s): Ms.S.Mekhala, Standing Counsel O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.15,78,50,743/- to the petitioner in respect of the work done by the petitioner under the lumpsum agreement dated 04.11.2025 entered into between the petitioner and the 1st respondent. 2.According to the petitioner, the claim amount has been duly acknowledged by the respondents and it is an admitted sum. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s claim. The petitioner has also filed supporting documents along with this Writ Petition to substantiate that the petitioner’s claim is an admitted sum. (Ms).No.116 dated 26.06.2025, passed by the Municipal Administration and Water Supply (WS2) Department. According to him, as per the said Government Order, funds have been allotted to the 1st respondent for making payment to the contractors. According to the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner, the 1st respondent is having sufficient funds to pay the dues to the petitioner. Once again, this Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the contentions placed on record by the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representation dated 06.04.2026 is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after giving due consideration to the G.O. (Ms).No.116 dated 26.06.2025, issued by the Municipal Administration and Water Supply (WS2) Department. 4.For the foregoing reasons, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s claim, directs the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 06.04.2026, seeking for payment of a sum of Rs.15,78,50,743/- for the work done by the petitioner in respect of the lumpsum agreement dated 04.11.2025 entered into between the petitioner and the 1st respondent Board, __________ Page3 of 5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 15756 of 2026 after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and also after giving due consideration to the G.O.
