Applicant has filed this First Bail application under Section 482 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of regular bail as he has been arrested in connection with Crime No. 262/2026 registered at Police Station – Gurella, District- Gaurella, Pendra- Marwahi (C.G.) for offence punishable under Section 4 and 6 of Chhattisgarh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 2004. Case of prosecution in brief is that, on 26.06.2026 an information was received that the present applicant along with another co-accused is transporting excessive number of agricultural cattle in one pick up vehicle for the purpose of slaughtering. Based upon which investigation was conducted and crime was registered against the present applicant and co-accused. 3. Learned counsel for State submits that counsel for the applicant has not disclosed the number of criminal antecedents registered against the applicant in part D of the bail application, which is necessary to be disclosed. He submits that there are four criminal antecedents of the applicant, first bearing Crime No. 113 of 2026 registered at Police Station Bhalumuda, District Annuppur, M.P. for the commission of offence under Section 4 and 6 of the C.G. Agriculture Cattle Prevention Act, 2004, second bearing Crime No. 151 of 2023 registered at Police Station Bhalumuda, District Annuppur, M.P. for the commission of offence under Section 4,6,8, 10 and 11 of the C.G. Agriculture Cattle Prevention Act, 2004, third bearing Crime No. 424 of 2024 registered at Police Station Jaithari, District- Annuppur M.P. for the commission of offence punishable under Section 296, 3(5) and 351 (2) of BNS, 2023 and last bearing Crime No. 490 of 2024 registered at Police Station Jaithari, District- Annuppur M.P. for the commission of offence punishable under Section 296, 3(5) and 351 (2) of BNS, 2023. 4. Learned counsel for applicant submits that he was not informed by the applicant about the criminal antecedents registered against him, as stated by learned counsel for the State. 3 5. In view of the submission made by learned counsel for the respective parties, it is apparent that the applicant has not disclosed the number of criminal antecedents registered against the applicant as required to be disclosed in the application, therefore, I am of the considered view that the present bail application is defective.
