D/L768 27.08.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. Versus The State of West Bengal Mr. Sekhar Kumar Basu Mr. Diptangshu Basu. …for the petitioners. Mr. Sagar Saha Ms. Nayana Mukhopadhyay. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that there were three seizures in the present case at the wee hours and a seizure was shown from the present petitioners and others of 439 grams of brown sugar. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits initially there was seizure of 1302 grams of brown sugar, thereafter, from the petitioners 439 grams of brown sugar and subsequently again 285 grams of brown sugar were recovered from other accused persons. Having considered the quantum of brown sugar recovered in the present case, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioners on bail. 2 Petitioners would renew their prayer for bail after the evidence of seizure list witnesses are over. At this stage, the prayer for bail of the petitioners in CRM(NDPS)1766 of 2026 is refused. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record.
