For Petitioner : Mr,P.Muthamzhiselvakumar For Respondents : Mr.M.Sivavarthanan Government Counsel O R D E R This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents 4 and 5 to forbid and restrain the 6th respondent and his men, agents, authorized person from fishing in the pond and harvesting the trees in the village of Karnavoor, Perugavazhthan Via, Muthupetai Taluk, Thiruvarur District under the control of the 6th respondent, in pursuant to the proceedings vide Na.Ka.580/2026/Aa5 dated 06.05.2026 passed by the 3rd respondent. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.21476 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 6 2. The case of the petitioner is that in their village, viz., Karnavoor, there was a pond, coconut palm which was maintained and regulated by the 6th respondent. Every year, the 6th respondent had conducted public auction to the villagers for taking the public auction, wherein the villagers of the Karnavoor, more particularly people of Scheduled Caste are not present in the auction. In this regard, the petitioner had lodged the complaint on 18.03.2026, which was considered by the 4th respondent and the proceedings was issued vide Na.Ka.No.1603/2025/Aa2 dated 18.03.2026 directing the Deputy Block Development Officer to take action on the complaint of the petitioner and submit the report to the 4th respondent. Thereafter, no action has been taken so far, hence, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the respondent Nos.1 and 2 are directed to consider the complaint of the petitioner dated 18.03.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.21476 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 6 4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents. 5. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider the complaint of the petitioner dated 18.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
