This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners alleging willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court 27.06.2022 in WPS No.4735 of 2022 and other connected matters. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that after the interim order was passed on 27.06.2022, a certified copy thereof was obtained on 28.06.2022 and it was handed over on the same day to the Receipt Section of the concerned department, where it was received by the Receipt Clerk. He contended that even thereafter respondents have published the select list. 3. Upon putting a query as to whether thereafter the order of appointment was issued or not, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have not specifically pleaded in this regard. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that interim order 3 / 3 passed by High Court in WPS No.4375 of 2022 was not brought to their notice by the concerned receipt Clerk. He contended that it came to knowledge of respondents only after publication of select list and thereafter further proceedings have been stayed by them. They have not issued order of appointment to the selected candidates thereafter, status quo is being maintained with regard to recruitment proceeding as per advertisement subject matter of challenge in writ petition. 5. Considered the submissions of learned counsel for respective parties and perused the documents annexed along with this contempt petition. 6. Perusal of the document enclosed along with this contempt petition and the reply of respondents would show that though select list was issued, however, appointment order has not been issued after coming to knowledge of the order of High Court. 7. In the aforementioned facts of case, I do not find any good ground to continue any further in this contempt petition. 8. Accordingly, contempt proceeding initiated against respondents is dropped.
