Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners and the report submitted by the State are taken on record. The petitioners complain that the complaint lodged by them against the private respondents before the police authority has not been acted upon. It appears from the report submitted by the State that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioners, specific case has been registered and investigation is in progress. Since the grievance of the petitioners in the writ petition has been redressed, no fruitful purpose shall be served in keeping the writ petition pending. The Investigating officer is directed to conduct the investigation in a fair and impartial manner and take the same to its logical conclusion. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. 2 Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
