27.08.2026 Serial no. 777 [G.S.Das] Assistant Registrar (Court)
CRM (NDPS) 1776 of 2026
In re : An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 in connection with Special Case No. 67 of 2026 arising out of Kalichak PS Case No. 1880 of 2025 dated 05.11.2025 u/s 21(c)/27A/29 of the NDPS Act.
-And-
In the matter of : Wahedur Rahaman @ Wahidur Rahaman
… Petitioner(s)
Mr. Mritunjoy Chatterjee Mr. Arka Roy
… for the Petitioner(s)
Mr. Aniruddha Bhattacharya Mr. Dipayan Dan
… for the State-respondent(s)
The petitioner is similarly placed as the other accused namely, Najrul Islam, whose bail has been rejected. Having considered that the petitioner is involved in another case wherein there are three seizures being 1.302 gm; 439 gm and 286 gm of brown sugar, I am of the opinion that the petitioner is not entitled to be released on bail as the rigors of Section 37 of the NDPS Act are attracted. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1776 of 2026 is dismissed.
2 Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
