This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 r/w. Article 215 of the Constitution of India alleging non-compliance of the order dated 26.07.2024 passed by this Court in Writ Appeal No. 466/2024. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the order passed in the Writ Appeal, respondents have issued an order of notional promotion. 2 However, no monetary benefit has been extended pursuant to the said order. He submits that in view of the aforesaid facts of the case, he may be permitted to challenge the decision of the respondents dated 16.03.2026. 3. In view of the submissions made by counsel for the petitioner, the contempt proceedings initiated against the respondents is dropped.
