ORAL ORDER
1. Accused nos.2 to 5 in Crime No.176 of 2026 registered by Tilaknagar Police Station, Bengaluru city for offences punishable under Section 109, 352 R/w Section 190 of BNS, 2023 are before this Court in these two petitions filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.176 of 2026 was registered by Tilaknagar Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offences against Balu and petitioners herein, based on the first information dated 24.06.2026, received from Sri Vijaya Reddy, father of injured victim Somshekhar Reddy. During the course of investigation, petitioners herein were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Their bail application filed before the

jurisdictional Sessions Court was rejected. Therefore, they are before this Court in these two petitions. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that, the first informant, who is the father of the injured victim was allegedly informed by Sharath, who is the friend of his son Somashekar Reddy, that some strangers had assaulted Somashekar Reddy with weapons and he is admitted in Manipal Hospital. Immediately thereafter, first informant went to the said hospital and on enquiry, the injured victim informed him that he had a dispute with accused persons with regard to certain monetary transactions and it is in this background, after quarrelling with him, they had assaulted him with weapons. It is under these circumstances, FIR was registered against Balu and 4 others. 5. During the course of investigation, accused no.1 and petitioners were arrested. Remand application of the accused persons would reveal that allegation of assaulting injured victim with a weapon is found only as against accused no.1, who is arrested and remanded to judicial Custody. Insofar

as the petitioners are concerned, they allegedly had held Somashekar Reddy in order to enable accused no.1 to assault him. The injured victim, who was admitted in hospital has been discharged and his condition is said to be stable. Petitioners who do not have any criminal antecedents are in custody for the last two months. Major portion of investigation is completed.
Accordingly, the following:-
ORDER (i) Criminal petitions are allowed. (ii) The petitioners are directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.176 of 2026 registered by Tilaknagar Police Station, Bengaluru city for offences punishable under Section 109, 352 R/w Section 190 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioners shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) each with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioners shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless

the Trial Court exempts their appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioners shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioners shall not involve in similar offences in future;
