1. Heard Mr. P. Bordoloi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.M.T.Chistie, learned counsel for the respondent/ contemnor.
2. Alleging willful and deliberate violation of this Court’s order dated
Page No.# 2/3 12.08.2025, passed in WP(C) No. 2703/2025, the present contempt petition is filed.
3. The grievance raised in the aforesaid writ petition by the petitioner, President of the School Managing Committee (SMC for short) of Tezpur Collegiate High School is against the Assistant Headmistress of said school, inasmuch as, it was the case of the petitioner that said Assistant Headmistress has failed to maintain academic discipline and has been negligent in her duty.
4. It was alleged that though a complaint was lodged by the petitioner and other members of the aforesaid SMC, pursuant to which, the concerned Director of Secondary Education, Assam asked the Inspector of Schools, SDC, Tezpur to conduct an enquiry, however, no action has been taken.
5. Since the Inspector of Schools, SDC, Tezpur made certain proposals to transfer the respondent No.4 therein to another school, this Court closed the aforenoted writ petition with a satisfaction that some steps have been taken.
6. Mr. Chistie, learned counsel for the respondent/contemnor has submitted that process is going on and show-cause notice is also issued to the Assistant Headmistress and that the present contempt petition is not maintainable for want of any specific direction at the hands of this Court.
7. This Court is also of the opinion that there no specific direction was issued, inasmuch as, the respondent authorities are pursuing the matter.
8. Accordingly, the present contempt petitioner stands closed.
