Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of petitioner is taken on record. 2. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that based on complaint lodged by respondent no.7 petitioner’s mobile SIM is blocked in connection with complaint lodged on National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal by respondent no.7. It is also contended that respondent no.7 is wife of tenant and petitioner is landlord and Ejectment Suit being No.47/26 has been instituted by petitioner against husband of respondent no.7 being tenant. 3. It is contended as counterblast complaint was lodged on National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal alleging cyber fraud against petitioner and in connection therewith a case was registered and consequently petitioner’s mobile SIM is blocked. 4. However, during course of hearing Mr. Jana, learned advocate representing State respondents has drawn attention of this Court to a letter dated 18th August, 2026 of one Lady Provisional Sub-Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District addressed to Senior Superintendent of Police (Special), Cyber Crime Wing, West Bengal wherein request was made for unblocking of mobile SIM of petitioner. 5. In spite of service of notice respondent nos. 6 & 7 are not represented. 6. From case made out in this writ petition, it appears that an Ejectment Suit is pending against respondent no.6 being tenant which was instituted by petitioner as landlord and complaint was lodged by respondent no.7 who is wife of respondent no.6. Moreover, request is made vide letter dated 18th August, 2026 on behalf of Cyber Crime Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District for unblocking mobile SIM of petitioner. 7. Concerned police authorities are directed to unblock mobile SIM of petitioner immediately. 8. However, this order shall not preclude investigating agency to carry out investigation and take the investigation to its logical conclusion. 9. Writ petition stands disposed of. 10. Communication dated 24th August, 2026 of Inspector- in-Charge, Cyber Crime Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District is filed today and same is 2 taken on record. 11.
