In spite of service, there is no representation on behalf of the respondent no. 2. 3. The petitioner is a retired employee of the Calcutta State Transport Corporation (CSTC). He retired from service on April 30, 2025 on attaining the age of superannuation. He alleges that he received his gratuity and leave salary belatedly. 4. The petitioner prays for interest on the delayed payment of his gratuity and leave salary. 5. In view of the afore-stated, the Managing Director, Calcutta State Transport Corporation, the respondent no. 5 herein, is directed to pay interest to the petitioner calculated at the rate of 6% per annum, being a reasonable rate, considering the bank rate of interest on Fixed Deposit. 6. This amount will be payable on and from the next date of his retirement till the date of actual payment, at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 7. With the afore-stated directions, the writ-petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. 8.
