HIGH COURT OF JAMMU, KASHMIR & LADAKH AT JAMMU SWP No. 252/2019 Jabina Akhter and another …..Appellant(s)/Petitioner(s) Through: None vs State of J&K and others .…. Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Anishwar Chatterji Koul, GA Mr. Intikhab Hussian Shah, Adv. Coram: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY DHAR, JUDGE ORDER 07.10.2026 1. No one has appeared on behalf of the petitioners today. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents have submitted that the relief sought in the present petition has been rendered infructuous in view of the judgment passed by the Supreme Court in the case of Union Territory of J&K and others v. Saba Wani, decided on 30.04.2026. It has been submitted that the rights of the petitioners are not protected, inasmuch as, before the closure of the Rehbar-e-Taleem Scheme, no select panel was prepared pursuant to the advertisement notices, which are subject matter of the present petition. On this ground, it is being urged that the present petition cannot proceed further. 2. Be that as it may, no one has appeared on behalf of the petitioners today. It appears that the petitioners have lost interest in prosecuting the present petition. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed for non prosecution.
