Judgment on : August 28, 2026. Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya
, J.
:
1. Heard learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner as well as the learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the State.
2. From the affidavit of service, it transpires that the private respondents, apart from respondent no. 6, have been duly served. Insofar as respondent no. 6 is concerned, learned counsel for the writ petitioner points out that the service was sought to be effected at the address of the respondent no. 6 as disclosed in the original application before the Tribunal, at which address, service was effected and the respondent no. 6 is also appearing before the Tribunal. Thus, we deem the same to be good service.
3. At this juncture, Mr. Samrat Hoque, learned Advocate appears with Mr. Adak and Ms. Pramanik and submits that he has instruction to appear for the private respondents.
4. Accordingly, the matter is taken up for hearing.
5. Since the original application is pending before the learned Tribunal since the year 2024 and long dates are being fixed, as is evident from the order sheet placed before us, W.P.L.R.T. No. 162 of 2026 is
disposed of by requesting the Third Bench, West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal, to dispose of MA 304/2025 as well as OA 3524 of 2024 (LRTT) pending before the Tribunal, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six months from the date of communication of this order to the learned Tribunal.
6. No order as to costs. 2
7. Urgent Photostat certified copies of this judgment and order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities. I agree. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.) (Sandip Kumar De, J.)
