In Re : Amlan Goswami ... Petitioner.
Mr. Mayukh Mukherjee, Mr. Joy Chakraborty
... For the Petitioner.
Mr. Somnath Bera
... For the State.
Mr. Amit Roy
... For the de facto complainant.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 13 months. There has been no progress in the case in spite of charge-sheet having been submitted. Learned advocate appearing for the de facto complainant opposes the prayer for bail and submits that petitioner is thickly connected with the alleged offence. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim girls under Section 183 of the BNSS. I have taken into account the accusations so far as the present petitioner is concerned who was involved in
2 procuring the minors for trafficking. Having considered the same, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Memo of Evidence submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The application for bail, being CRM (M) 1364 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
