This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for regular bail in respect of Sessions (Special)/ Spl. (P) Case No.135/2025 pending in the court of the learned Special Judge (POCSO), Lakhimpur. 3. The petitioner Hafijul Islam @ Habijul Islam @ Habijul Ali has been facing trial before the court below. All the witnesses, except the Investigating Officer are already examined by the trial court. Only the Investigating Officer is to be examined now. 4. The only ground on which bail has been prayed for is the period of detention already undergone by the petitioner. 5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 6. This Court is of the opinion that allowing the petitioner to go on bail at this stage, might delay the disposal of the case before the trial court.
