25.08.2026 Court No.35. D/L. 51. Kausik (Rejected) CRM (A) 2747 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Anticipatory Bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Budbud Police Station Case No. 109 of 2026 dated 31.07.2026 under Sections 318(4)/316(2)/351(2) of BNS, 2023 and under Section 25/27 of the Arms Act.. And In the matter of : Md. Zakir Hossain ……Petitioner. Mr. Anindya Sundar Das Mr. Soumyajit Das Mahapatra Ms. Paramita Mondal Ms. Shabnam Yeasmin Mr. Ali Afjal (Chand) ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Subhendu Sinha Roy Mr. Uttam Basak ….for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits petitioner is innocent and has been implicated because of change in administration. State has produced the case diary and submitted that the present is a cash for job scam and when the defacto complainant intended to get the money returned he was threatened with arms. 2 Be that as it may, having regard to the nature of the accusations, I am of the view that custodial interrogation may be required for the purposes of investigation. As such, prayer for anticipatory bail in CRM (A) 2747 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
