JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before the Court, seeking the following prayer: "1. Quash the FIR bearing Crime No.74/2026 registered by Respondent No.1, RT Nagar Police Station for the alleged offences punishable under Section 34, 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010330772026 NC: 2026:KHC:45202 CRL.P No. 6918 of 2026 1860, and/or, which is produced as Annexure-A, pending before the 8th Addl. CMM, Bengaluru City. 2. Quash the complaint dated 10.03.2026 as contained in Annexure-B in Crime No.74/2026. 3. Pass any other order in the interest of justice." 2. Heard Sri. Abhishek Achaiah M.B., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Smt. Waheeda M.M., learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1, Sri. Susairaj, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record. 3. During the subsistence of the petition, it transpires that the dispute has been settled with the second respondent - the complainant. This is admitted by the learned counsel appearing for the complainant. The submission is that other victims are there and therefore, their cases also should be considered. 4. The said submission is noted only to be rejected. 5. If the other complainants are there to whom the money is due, it is for those persons to initiate proceedings in - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010330772026 NC: 2026:KHC:45202 CRL.P No. 6918 of 2026 accordance with law or if initiated to continue in accordance with law. The settlement herein would not come in the way of them prosecuting other cases. Them prosecuting other cases will not come in the way of closure of this petition on account of a settlement. With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands disposed. As a matter of form, proceedings/investigation in Crime No.74/2026 stands quashed qua the petitioner.
