Though there is an inordinate delay of 839 days in preferring the present revision petition, however, considering the nature of the dispute and the reasons assigned by the applicant, this Court is inclined to take a lenient view and condone the delay. Accordingly, I.A. No. 02/2026 is allowed. 3. The instant criminal revision is directed against the order dated 08.02.2024 passed by the learned Judge, Family Court, Korba, District Korba (C.G.) in Digitally signed by AJAY KUMAR DWIVEDI DN: cn=AJAY KUMAR DWIVEDI, ou=HIGH COURT, o=HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, st=Chhattisgarh, c=IN 2 Case No. 185/2022, whereby interim maintenance to the tune of Rs. 3,000/- per month has been awarded in favour of the respondent-wife. 4. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the applicant seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this revision petition with a prayer for an appropriate direction to the learned Family Court to expedite and conclude the proceedings at the earliest. 5. Prayer is allowed. Permission to withdraw the revision petition is granted. 6. A perusal of the impugned order reveals that the application under Section 125 of the Cr.P.C. was instituted by the respondent-wife in the year 2022, yet only interim maintenance has been awarded so far and the main proceedings remain pending till date. 7. Hence, considering the protracted pendency, the learned Family Court, Korba is directed to expedite the proceedings and make endeavor to decide the main application on merits, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt/production of a certified copy of this order. 8.
