In the headnote of the present petition, following prayers have been made: “Civil Writ Petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to give effect to the Judgment dated 06.12.2023 (P-5) and Judgment dated 19.12.2025 (P-6) in the matter of consolidation and consolidation in the record of right in view of the pending representation dated 05.05.2026 (P-8) may in a time bound manner within a period of one from as the prayer for correcting the entries in the record of right according to order passed by the Consolidation authority is lingering on under the illegal and arbitrary approach of the respondents; Further issue any other appropriate writ, order or direction which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case.” PUNEET SACHDEVA 2026.08.17 10:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh CWP No.25520 of 2026 2 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for the redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has given a representation dated 05.05.2026 and at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied in case the same is considered and a speaking order is passed in a time bound manner. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents has very fairly submitted that the representation dated 05.05.2026 would be considered by the Deputy Commissioner exercising the powers of Director Consolidation of Land Holdings and Land Records. 4. Keeping in view the abovesaid facts and circumstances, the present writ petition is disposed of with direction to the Deputy Commissioner exercising the powers of Director Consolidation of Land Holdings and Land Records to consider the representation dated 05.05.2026 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the present order and in case the pleas raised by the petitioner are found to be meritorious, then, take necessary action in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned.
