Instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioner seeking following reliefs :- 1. Quash the election notification dated 15.03.2026 (Annexure P-3) and the entire election process initiated pursuant thereto. 2. Direct the respondents to prepare a fresh and verified voter list strictly in accordance with law and after removing all discrepancies. 3. Direct the appointment of an independent and impartial Election Officer under supervision of the Registrar, Firms and Societies, for conducting fresh elections. 4. Pass any other order deemed fit, in the interest of justice. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that respondent No. 3- Chief Election Officer has initiated election process for conducting the election of Managing Committee of “Jharia Yadav Samaj” scheduled to be held on 12.4.2026 pursuant to the election notification dated 15.03.2026. He further submits that entire election process is ex facie contrary to the registered by-laws of the Society and is vitiated by gross procedural irregularities, therefore, the petitioner has filed representation (Annexure P-10) dated 6.4.2026 before Registrar, Firms and Societies, Raipur (respondent No. 2 herein). Hence, he prays that this petition may be disposed of directing respondent No. 2 to decide aforesaid representation within a specific time frame. 3. Counsel for respondents No. 1 & 2 has no objection to allow the limited prayer made by petitioner’s counsel. 4. Heard counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 3 5. Having considering the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner, without entering into the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 2 - Registrar, Firms and Societies, Raipur to decide representation (Annexure P-10) dated 6.4.2026 filed by the petitioner expeditiously. 6.
