D/L610 19.08.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. (A) 2613 of 2026 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 corresponding to Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 filed in connection with Gazole Police Station Case No.653 of 2026 dated 22.06.2026 under Sections 3167(2)/318(4)/351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Mojammel Hossain Versus The State of West Bengal Mr. Sabyasachi Chatterjee Mr. Omar Faruk Gazi Ms. Bidisha Das Mr. Pratikur Rahaman Ms. Shaoni Panda. …for the petitioner. Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh Ms. Suparna Biswas. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been foisted with the present criminal case immediately after the change in administration. The complainant has acted with mala fides and the accusation relates to a period which is more than nine years ago. Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary. Be that as it may, the present is a case in the nature of cash for job scam. Having considered the same, I am not inclined to extend the benefit of anticipatory bail. As such, the prayer sought 2 for in CRM(A)2613 of 2026 is rejected. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
