Sri Rajesh Kumar Shaw Mr. Abhijit Singh ….for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the wife praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track, 1st Court at Barrackpore, District-North 24-Parganas to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No.1804 of 2023 expeditiously. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the suit is at the stage of cross-examination P.W.1. From the order sheets appended to this application, this Court finds that on July 15, 2026 was fixed for further cross-examination of P.W.1. It further appears from the order sheets that the regular Presiding Officer was transferred and December 23, 2026 has been fixed for further cross-examination of P.W.1. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party. However, the learned advocate for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite party or the learned advocate representing the opposite party before the learned trial judge. 2 In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, CO 2781 of 2026 stands disposed of with the direction that after the regular Presiding Officer joins an endeavour shall be made to take up the Matrimonial Suit No.1804 of 2023 for further cross- examination of P.W.1 and to make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. There will be no order as to costs. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
