The petitioners who are members of Krishnapur Gram Panchayat initially sought a direction upon the Prescribed Authority to fix the date of meeting for removal of Pradhan. In course of hearing learned counsel for the petitioners submits that such date has been fixed on 7th September, 2026 by a notice issued on 25th August, 2026. The petitioners now seek a direction upon the police authority to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority for the meeting so that the meeting is held without any hindrance. In view of change in circumstances, the Inspector in Charge, Baishnabnagar Police Station being the 9th respondent, is directed to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority so that the meeting scheduled on 7th September, 2026 is held peacefully without any disturbance from any corner whatsoever. 2 The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.
