Respondent For Applicant : Mr. Tanuj Patwardhan, Advocate For Respondent : Mr. Prasoon Agrawal, Advocate Hon’ble Shri Krushna Ram Mohapatra, Chief Justice Order on Board 18.09.2026 1 Heard Mr. Tanuj Patwardhan, learned counsel for the Applicant as well as Mr. Prasoon Agrawal, learned counsel for the Respondent. 2 This is an application under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (for brevity ‘the Arbitration Act’) for appointment of sole Arbitrator. 3 It is submitted by learned counsel for the Applicant that pursuant to the Agreement dated 30.01.2023 (Annexure – P/1), the commercial relationship between the Applicant and Respondent ROHIT KUMAR CHANDRA Digitally signed by ROHIT KUMAR CHANDRA 2 was established. There exists a dispute arising out of the said Agreement between the parties which can be resolved by appointing an Arbitrator in terms of Clause 6.3 of the Agreement at Annexure – P/1. 4 Learned counsel for the Respondent does not have any objection for appointment of an Arbitrator. 5 Learned counsel for the parties agreed for appointment of Shri Justice Dheerendra Mishra, retired Judge of this Court to be the sole Arbitrator to arbitrate the dispute. 6 Hence, Shri Justice Dheerendra Mishra, retired Judge of this Court is appointed as the sole Arbitrator to arbitrate the dispute between the parties. 7 Relevant records shall be sent to Shri Justice Dheerendra Mishra, retired Judge of this Court for necessary action at his end. 8 The remuneration of the Arbitrator shall be settled with the mutual consent of the parties. 9 The Arbitration Request Application is disposed of accordingly.
