JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD ORAL ORDER The petitioner seeks directions to the second respondent to consider his representation submitted on 14.08.2026 [Annexure - K] requesting for renewal of Trade Licence in terms of the application submitted online on 08.06.2026. The learned counsel submits [a] that the petitioner, because he has lost his mother after a prolonged terminal illness and with his father also being affected, could not apply in time for renewal of the license which has expired with effect from 02.06.2026, [b] that the petitioner's business "a provisional store" is closed on 27.07.2026, and [c] that the petitioner has applied online for Trade Licence which has not been considered. Mr. Pawan Kumar, a learned Standing counsel who is called upon to accept notice for the first - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010584012026 NC: 2026:KHC:46031 WP No. 26320 of 2026 respondent, is heard for the disposal of the petition with coercive measures having been taken to ensure that the business is not run without a Trade Licence and with the petitioner having filed an application for renewal of the Trade Licence online as is required. This Court is of the opinion that the second respondent must act expeditiously and inform the petitioner on whether there can be a renewal or not so that the petitioner's grievance is redressed and if not redressed by such decision, the petitioner can avail further remedy. As such, the following. ORDER A. The petition is allowed calling upon the Health Inspector, Greater Bengaluru Authority [the second respondent] to communicate the outcome of the consideration of the petitioner's application for Trade Licence in terms of Annexure - E at the earliest but not later than two [2] - 5 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010584012026 NC: 2026:KHC:46031 WP No. 26320 of 2026 weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
