The Petitioner has filed the present Application under Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (“CPC”) for directing the Respondent to permit the Petitioner to register for JEE-Advance, 2026 Examination. 2. Mr. Rahul Bajaj, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner has submitted that pursuant to the order dated 23.04.2026, the Respondent has published the Result of the Petitioner’s JEE-Main Session-2 Examination on 27.04.2026, wherein the Petitioner has emerged successful. However, the said Result contains the Remark: “ELIGIBLE (SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION)”. 3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that because of this Remark in the Result, the Petitioner is not able to register for JEE-Advance, 2026 Examination and when the Petitioner is trying to register, the portal is showing that it is “Invalid Application No / Login Id or Password”. Mr. Sanjay Khanna, learned Counsel for Respondent submits that Respondent is not responsible for registration of the candidates for JEE- Advance, 2026 Examination and Indian Institute of Technology (“IIT”), Roorkee is responsible for the registration. He further submits that Respondent has already sent an e-mail communication at 2:00 PM on 28.04.2026 informing the IIT, Roorkee that Petitioner may be permitted to register for JEE-Advance, 2026 Examination. Further, the learned Counsel for the Respondent has suggested that the Petitioner may re-login and change the password and the Petitioner may be able to register. 5. In view of the above submissions, Mr. Rahul Bajaj, learned Counsel for the Petitioner makes an oral prayer to implead IIT, Roorkee as Respondent No.2. Accordingly, at the oral request of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, IIT Roorkee is impleaded as Respondent No.2. 6. In view of the order dated 23.04.2026 whereby the Respondent was directed to declare / publish the Petitioner’s result for JEE-Mains Session 2 Examination conducted on 02.04.2026 and the right of the Respondent to verify the documents submitted by the Petitioner was kept open. 7. Accordingly, IIT, Roorkee is directed to register the candidature of the Petitioner for JEE-Advance, 2026 Examination by 6:00 PM on 29.04.2026 as per the applicable Rules and Regulations irrespective of the Remark: “ELIGIBLE (SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION)” in the Result of the Petitioner declared by the Respondent.
