JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking quashment of the proceedings in FNO.ECIR/BGO/05/2021, registered by the respondent – Directorate of Enforcement. 2. Heard Ms. Vandana P.L., learned counsel for petitioner and Sri Madhu M. Rao, learned counsel for the respondents. 3. An interim order was granted by a coordinate bench of this Court on 13.10.2023, on the score that the predicate offence had been stayed at the hands of the co-ordinate bench. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:21234 WP No. 23177 of 2023 4. Sri Madhu N. Rao, learned counsel appearing for the respondents - Enforcement Directorate would submit that the petition challenging the predicate offence is dismissed. 5. In that light, the subject petition would not survive for consideration as it stood only on the strength of the stay granted in the predicate offence. 6. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would now pray for extension of the interim order for a period of four weeks, it would enable the petitioner to secure bail. 7. In the light of the interim order subsisting as on today, notwithstanding the disposal of the subject petition, I deem it appropriate to extend the interim order of stay in favour of the petitioner for four weeks from today. 8. In the event the petitioner would not avail the liberty of securing a bail before the concerned Court by filing a necessary application, the interim order that is now extended for a period of four weeks from today, would stand automatically vacated. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:21234 WP No. 23177 of 2023 9.
