Accused No.3 in Crime No.154/2025 registered by Hassan City Police Station, Hassan District, for offences punishable under Sections 316(4), 318(3), 318(4) of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.154/2025 was registered by the Hassan City Police Station, Hassan District for the aforesaid offences against Chidananda and two others based on the first information dated 04.11.2025 received from Girish H.D., Chief - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010497762026 NC: 2026:KHC:45488 CRL.P No. 10942 of 2026 Executive Officer of Taluk Panchayath, Hassan. Apprehending arrest in the said case, the petitioner has filed Cri.Misc.1089/2025, which was dismissed by the jurisdictional Sessions Court on 20.11.2025. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. FIR in the present case was registered against three persons. The petitioner is arraigned as accused No.3 in the FIR. Accused Nos.1 and 2 had approached this Court in Criminal Petition No.16178/2025 and Criminal Petition No.16113/2025 seeking anticipatory bail respectively. The said criminal petitions have been allowed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court and accused Nos.1 and 2 have been granted anticipatory bail in the present case. Allegation against the petitioner and accused Nos.1 and 2 are similar in nature. The material on record would also go to show that the accused who are arrested in Crime No.241/2025 registered by the very same police station with similar allegation are granted regular bail by the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.945/2025. 5. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010497762026 NC: 2026:KHC:45488 CRL.P No. 10942 of 2026 anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively, subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following: ORDER The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.154/2025 registered by Hassan City Police Station, Hassan District, for offences punishable under Sections 316(4), 318(3), 318(4) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. 2. Petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3.
