1. Heard Mr. R. K. Talukdar, learned counsel for the applicant.
2. The present application is filed for impleadment of one Sri Oinam Sarankumar Singh, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Water Resources Department, as the respondent No. 5 in the connected contempt petition.
3. The aforesaid person is presently holding the post of Secretary to the Government of Assam, Water Resources Department, the respondent No. 4 in the writ petition to whom, the direction was issued.
4. A copy of the order dated 15.06.2023 passed in WP(C) No. 3797/2020, has already been furnished to the said incumbent on
22.08.2025.
5. As nothing has been done, the present application is filed.
6. Perused the statement made in the application.
7. Considering the averments as well as the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that the aforesaid respondent is required to be impleaded in the connected contempt petition as respondent No. 5.
8. Ordered accordingly.

9. The learned counsel for the applicant shall furnish a fresh amended cause title incorporating the name of the newly impleaded respondent in the connected contempt petition within a period of 10 days from today with a copy to be furnished to the learned counsel for the respondent No. 1.
10. Accordingly, this Interlocutory Application stands disposed of by allowing the prayer as made. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
