The petitioner – mother of the detenu – Yogananda @ Yogesha (CTP No.19681) is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a) Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction quashing the impugned order dated 14.05.2026 bearing DGPCSB/JDLC/SEC4/118/2026-JUDCL, produced as ANNEXURE-'D', passed by the Respondent No.2/Director General of Police, Prisons and Correctional Services, rejecting the application of Convict Prisoner Sri. Yogananda @ Yogesha, CTP No. 19681 for extension of general parole: - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010534922026 NC: 2026:KHC:44877 WP No. 24239 of 2026 b) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent Authorities to release Convict Prisoner Sri. Yogananda @ Yogesha S/o Rajegowda, CTP No. 19681, presently lodged in Central Prison, Mysuru, on general parole for such period as this Hon'ble Court deems fit, to enable him to attend to the agricultural work on the family land, on such conditions as this Hon'ble Court may impose; c) Pass such other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The detenu had been granted parole and now a petition has been filed seeking extension of parole. 3. The detenu having surrendered, the period after surrender has not exceeded six months which is the minimum gap period required for consideration of a fresh application. 4.
