The applicant, who is in custody since 07.06.2024, has approached this Court for grant of regular bail in connection with S.T. No. 143/2024 arising out of Hiranpur P.S. Case No.35 of 2024 registered for offence under Section 376-D of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of Addl. Sessions Judge-I, Pakur. 3. Innocence has been claimed and participation in the trial has been assured. On the above basis, prayer for bail has been made. 4. On the other hand, learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and it has been submitted that the victim has been examined and she has identified the accused/applicant. 5. It is a case of gang rape. 6. Considering the materials available on the record and the nature of crime, I am not inclined to enlarge the applicant (s) on bail at this stage.
