By filing this writ petition, the petitioner is praying for appointment pursuant to Advertisement No.21/2016 (Annexure-1 to the writ petition), on the post of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Commerce, under Unreserved category. 3. There is nothing on record to suggest as to who is the last selected candidate and what is the mark obtained by the last selected candidate, though the petitioner’s counsel submits that 2026:JHHC:5633 2 the petitioner has obtained 150 marks. 4. Mr. Tejo Mistry, learned counsel representing the respondent – Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), submits that the petitioner has obtained 150 marks whereas the marks of the last selected candidate as per the State wise merit list in the category and subject of the petitioner, is 218. 5. Considering the aforesaid submission, I am of the opinion that no relief can be granted to the petitioner in this case as the petitioner has obtained lesser marks than the last selected candidate. 5.1. However, since the appointment process is still continuing, be it noted that if in future, it is found that any person obtaining lesser marks than the petitioner in the category and subject of the petitioner, has been appointed, it will be open to the petitioner to approach the JSSC along with relevant documents. In that event, the JSSC will consider the case of the petitioner. 6. The chart produced by the counsel representing the JSSC, is kept on record. 7.
