By the instant petition, the petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- “a) To direct the respondent no.-3, Court of Prescribed Authority/Assistant Collector First Class, Sitarganj to expedite / decide the proceedings of the Election Petition No. 22/10 of 2025-26 (Vajender Singh vs. Raj Singh and Ors.) pending before it (Annexure No.2 to this writ petition) page No.12-21 as expeditiously as possible and the Hon'ble Court deem it fit & proper some time limit may be fixed for deciding the Election Petition b) Issue any other and further order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case. C). Award costs of the petition to the petitioner.” 3. The relief, as sought for, appears to be innocuous. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents have no objection. 5. In such view of the matter, the present writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction to the Prescribed 2026:UHC:2883 Authority/ Assistant Collector, Ist Class, Sitarganj, District Udham Singh Nagar to expedite the proceedings of Election Petition No.22/10 of 2025-2026, “Vajender Singh Vs. Raj Singh and Others” as expeditiously as possible, but not later than six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
