According to the petitioner, the No objection certificate was sought for mainly on the ground that there were no outstanding dues payable by the petitioner. 3. In the letter dated 24.02.2025, the society has stated that the petitioner had stood as a surety for a loan availed by one Mr. Rajapandi. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the loan in question was taken way back in the year 2020 and that no effective steps have been taken by the society against the principal borrower viz., Mr.Rajapandi. 4. The dispute between the society and the petitioner have to be settled before the Registrar as contemplated under Section 90 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983. Since neither the petitioner nor the respondent has approached the Registrar under Section 90 of the Act, liberty is granted to both parties to approach the competent Registrar seeking settlement of the dispute in accordance with law. 6.
