KAMAL ORAL ORDER On 20.08.2026, this Court has passed the following order: “There is no representation on behalf of petitioner. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 Sri. Veeresh R Budhihal is present. Learned AGA as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that the petition has become infructuous inasmuch as the proceeding before the Special Court under the Karnataka Protection of Investors and Depositors Act as the respondent No.2 has obtained an order of absolute attachment of the assets of certain IMA group of companies of which the petitioner was the Director. Challenge to the said order of attachment by the - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010275982019 NC: 2026:KHC:45772 WP No. 45009 of 2019 petitioner has been negated by this Court. Therefore, it is submitted that the relief being sought in the petition has become ineffective and seeks for dismissal of the petition. Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, in the interests of justice, list this matter on 25.08.2026 for the say of the petitioner on the aforesaid aspect finally subject to payment of further cost of Rs.1,000/- payable to the High Court Legal Services Committee, Bengaluru.” Even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
