In this Writ Petition, the petitioner is assailing the order dated 17.08.2019 (Annexure-C) in the proceeding initiated under Section 79A and 79B of Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961. 3. It is relevant to consider the order dated 01.04.2025 in WP No.12829/2023, paragraphs No.3 and 4, which reads as follows: "3. In the normal course, the matter would have to be remanded to the Assistant Commissioner, since Sections 79A and 79B of the Act were omitted by virtue of an amendment to the Land Reforms Act, no useful purpose would be served by remanding the matter to the Assistant Commissioner and - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010491702026 NC: 2026:KHC:39771 WP No. 22371 of 2026 hence, the impugned proceedings initiated shall stand abated. 4. In view of the above, the revenue authorities to restore the name of the petitioners in the revenue record." 4. Following the declaration of law made by this Court, in the aforementioned case, I pass the following: ORDER (i) The Writ Petition is allowed. (ii) The Order dated 17.08.2019 (Annexure-C) passed by respondent No.3 is accordingly set aside and the respondents-authorities are directed to restore the revenue entries in favour of the petitioner forthwith.
