The petitioner seeks family pension on account of being the widow daughter of a deceased assistant teacher of a high school. The documents of the petitioner relating to the family pension file were forwarded by the school to the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Jhargram in September, 2025. The petitioner alleges that no steps have been taken by the respondents till date. 2. Learned advocate representing the State has obtained instruction from the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Jhargram signed on 7th August, 2026 mentioning that on receipt of the documents from the school, a letter was sent to the school authority vide memo number 367/2026 dated 30th March, 2026 with a copy marked to the petitioner to submit a certificate from the competent authority (in-service Group-‘A’ Officer) to the effect that the petitioner is not receiving any kind of pension whatsoever from any government/undertaking etc. Page 2 3. The petitioner has only submitted a status report of the widow pension. District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Jhargram specifically mentions that after submission of the aforesaid certificate, the District Inspector of Schools would be in a position to initiate further process for sanctioning family pension in favour of the petitioner. 4. As the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Jhargram has already asked the petitioner to submit the certificate of the competent authority, accordingly, it will be open for the petitioner to supply the certificate as sought for. 5. On receipt of the subject documents including the certificate and on compliance of all necessary formalities, family pension would be sanctioned in favour of the petitioner in accordance with law, without any further delay. 6. The writ petition stands disposed of. 7. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 8.
