Petitioner is serving on daily wages in Forest Department, allegedly since 2017. He made a representation, claiming minimum of pay scale and dearness allowance. His representation has been rejected by the Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve, vide order dated 21.06.2022, which is under challenge in this writ petition. 4. Learned State Counsel submits that petitioner’s father was also engaged as a daily wager and because of his death, petitioner was engaged as daily wager on humanitarian considerations. He submits that the petitioner is being engaged from time to time as per availability of budget from Central Government under Project Tiger Scheme. It is contended that petitioner do not have any vested right to get minimum of pay scale, especially when he has not rendered ten years service. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, refers to a letter dated 13.04.2026, issued by Chief Conservator of Forests, Garhwal, for contending that petitioner’s name has been forwarded for grant of minimum of pay scale. However, perusal of the letter, produced by 2026:UHC:3016 learned counsel in Court, does not indicate that petitioner’s name has been recommended for grant of minimum of pay scale. 6. If what petitioner’s counsel submits is correct, then petitioner will get minimum of pay scale in due course. 7. Having regard to the reasons indicated in the impugned order, this Court do not find any reason to interfere in the matter. However, departmental authorities are at liberty to grant him minimum of pay scale, as per policy decision taken by the State Government. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
