Mr. Pulakesh Bajpayee Mr. Subit Majumdar ……for the State 1. Let affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, be kept on record. 2. The petitioners pray for regularization of their service. They have been working in the office of the District Magistrate, Paschim Medinipore, Social Welfare Section, as Group-D employees. 3. According to Mr. Bajpayee, learned Advocate appearing for the State, petitioners may not be entitled to be considered for regularization as they have been employed on a contractual basis and not engaged against any sanctioned post. 4. Since the petitioners have not applied to the requisite authority (respondent no. 5), they are granted leave to apply before the respondent no. 5 seeking regularization of their service. 2 5. Respondent no. 5 will dispose of such representation within a period of four weeks from the respective dates of the application as and when filed by the petitioners. 6. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 7. There will be no order as to costs. 8.
