NATARAJ ORAL ORDER The petitioner has sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the reference Court namely, the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mysuru to consider Miscellaneous Nos.213/2024 and 214/2024 and dispose it off at the earliest. 2. Petitioner claims that land in Sy.Nos.60/2, 61/1 and 61/2 and 68/2 all situate at Thathanahalli village, Periyapatna Taluk belongs to him. The said properties were notified for acquisition for formation of NH-275 and an award was passed. The petitioner approached this Court in W.P.No.1089/2025 seeking for a direction to the Special Land Acquisition Officer to release the compensation amount awarded in respect of acquisition of land in Sy.No.60/2 and 60/1 of Thathanahalli village, Kasaba Hobli, Periyapatna Taluk. The Special Land Acquisition Officer furnished information before this Court that there are various other claims by other persons in respect of - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010519152026 NC: 2026:KHC:42364 WP No. 23696 of 2026 the said property. In view of the aforesaid submission, W.P.No.1089/2025 was disposed off after noticing that proceedings before the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mysuru, in Miscellaneous Nos.213/2024 and 214/2024 were pending consideration and the compensation amount is deposited before the reference Court. Petitioner claims that the reference Court is not taking up the proceedings and therefore, seeks for a direction to the reference Court to dispose of the proceedings at the earliest. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner reiterated above submissions. 4. The learned High Court Government Pleader submits that the proceedings are underway before the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mysuru and therefore, no prejudice will be caused if a direction is issued to the reference Court to dispose of the proceedings at the earliest. 5. In view of the above submission, this petition is allowed. The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mysuru, is directed to dispose off Miscellaneous Nos.213/2024 and - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010519152026 NC: 2026:KHC:42364 WP No. 23696 of 2026 214/2024 within an outer limit of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of the Order. 6.
