JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 21.05.2026 [1] Heard Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel for the petitioner. [2] The petitioner who is a constable in CRPF was appointed on 20.12.2014 and since from his initial appointment, he has been posted at different stations and he has not been posted in his home district. [3] From the record, it is seen that the petitioner belongs to Vill. Parbatipur, P.O. Pritinagar, P.S. Ranaghat, Dist. Nadia, (West Bengal) and he has not been posted in his home district. The petitioner submitted a representation for home posting. However, vide transfer order dated 22.12.2025, he was transferred from GC-Imphal to 051 Bn. Chandigarh. His representation for home posting was also rejected vide order dated 10.02.2026. [4] By the present writ petition, the petitioner submits that as per the transfer policy, i.e., standing order dated No. 04/2022 dated 27.09.2022, he is entitled for home posting. [5] Mr. BR. Sharma, learned CGC for the respondent, submits that the writ petition can be disposed of at this stage by permitting the petitioner to avail alternative remedy of approaching Director General, CRPF Headquarter, New Delhi by filing a fresh representation in this regard. [6] Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel for the petitioner, also agrees to the proposal made by the learned CGC. [7] Recording the submissions made at the bar, the writ petition is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the Director General, CRPF Headquarter, New Delhi. The representation be filed within one week and the same shall be considered and disposed of within three weeks from the date of receipt as per applicable rules and policies. [8] However, this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [9] With this observation, writ petition is disposed of. Misc. application is also accordingly disposed of.
