AGP Mr. Purnendu Das ….Advocates 1. The petitioner is aggrieved that she is not getting the family pension to which she is otherwise entitled. The late husband of the petitioner has rendered years of service in the Government of West Bengal and demitted office in year 2016 and passed away in the year 2024. 2. Mr. Das, learned advocate appearing for the State has filed an instruction which he has received from the authority. A copy whereof is kept with the records. 3. It appears from the instruction that there is no impediment in making payment of family pension to the petitioner and the authorities have taken all necessary steps in aid thereof. 4. It appears that the matter is under active consideration of the Finance Department (Pension Branch). 5. In view thereof, the Principal Secretary being the respondent no. 3 herein is directed to take immediate steps in the matter and ensure that the family pension is disbursed to the petitioner, if she is found Page 2 to be otherwise eligible within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. 7. There shall be no order as to costs. 8. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order, duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 9.
