17.08.2026 Court No.35. D/L.286. Rakib (Rejected) CRM (A) 1877 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Anticipatory Bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Berhampore Police Station case no. 653 of 2026 dated 04.05.2026 under Sections 109(1)/118(2)/329(3)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyana Sanhita, 2023. And In the matter of : Santosh Roy. ……Petitioner. Mr. Md. Golam Nure Imrohi Mr. Partha Pratim Sinha .....for the Petitioner. Mr. Ankan Das Mr. Md. Kamruzzaman Ms. S. Ghosh Ms. Payel Das ......for the De-facto complainant. Mr. Suraj Mishra ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is falsely implicated in connection with the instant case out of previous rivalry. Learned advocate appearing for the State has produced the Case Diary. Learned advocate appearing for the de-facto complainant opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. I have taken into account the injuries which have been inflicted and the petitioner being specifically named for inflicting vital blow. Having considered the nature of injury inflicted, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. 2 Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail in CRM (A) 1877 of 2026 is rejected. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
