….for the State. Learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that with change of administration petitioner is being foisted with series of criminal cases. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the statement of co-accused do make out a case so far as the present petitioner is concerned. 2 There are materials to suggest that a case has been made out. I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary. Prima facie, I am of the view that the informant is also not directly accusing the present petitioner but other accused persons who are behind the bars. On an overall assessment of the circumstances, I am of the view that custodial detention of the petitioner may not be warranted in the facts and circumstances of the case. As such, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner namely, Ramendu Singha Ray @ Ramendu Sinha Ray be released on bail subject to the satisfaction of the investigating officer/arresting officer of the case and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. and/or under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Petitioner shall report to the investigating officer of the case within a period of 10 days and on all subsequent dates fixed by the investigating officer till the investigation of the case is over. Accordingly, CRM (A) 2731 of 2026 is allowed. Memo of Evidence submitted be kept with the record. Leave is granted to the petitioner to amend the cause title so far as the sections are concerned. 3
