[2] The petitioner in contempt case has filed the present application being MC(Cont. Cas(C)) No. 35 of 2026 for correcting clerical mistake in the cause title with respect to respondent no. 2 (Thokchom Dina Kumar Singh) is wrongly typed as ‘HDCF Branch Manager, HDCF Bank’ and it is submitted that the word ‘HDCF’ occurring in the cause title of respondent no. 2 be read as ‘HDFC’ and in ‘para no. 2’ of the contempt case, the account of the petitioner is wrongly written as ‘50100368768695’. [3] By the present application, the petitioner/applicant prays for correcting the clerical mistake occurring in the cause title with respect to respondent no. 2 and the proposed amendment is reproduced below: (i) In the Cause Title and throughout the body of the Petition, the name of the Respondent shall be corrected from “HDCF” to the correct name, “HDFC”. (ii) In Paragraph No. 2 of the contempt petition and wherever else it appears, the bank account number recorded as “50100368768695” shall be substituted with the correct account number, “50100368568695”. [5] This Court has perused the materials on record and it is seen that these are the inadvertent clerical mistake. Accordingly, ‘HDCF’ occurring in cause title of respondent no. 2 be corrected as ‘HDFC’ and in ‘para no. 2’, the account no. of the petitioner be corrected as ‘50100368568695’. In the circumstances, the application being MC(Cont. Cas(C)) No. 35 of 2026 is allowed and disposed of. [6] Registry is directed to make necessary incorporation in the cause title of the present case and petitioner is directed to file recast petition by online as well as physical copy. [7] List this case on 01.06.2026, the date already fixed. [8] Personal appearance of respondent no. 2 is exempted for the time being. Petitioner is directed to take fresh steps for respondent no. 2 by speed post and dasti in addition within 1(one) week and file affidavit of proof of service. JUDGE Thoiba
