ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 4th respondent to restore back the petitioner’s patta bearing No.871 for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner’s representation, dated
08.12.2025.
2. According to the petitioner, erroneously the petitioner's patta No.871 for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition was cancelled by the 4th respondent. He seeks for restoration of his patta through his representation dated 08.12.2025 given to the 4th respondent. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner’s representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with Page No.2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P.No.8678 of 2026 law, after hearing the objections, if any, the neighbouring land owners as well as any third party, whom the 4th respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 4th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation, dated 08.12.2025 seeking for restoration of the petitioner’s patta No.871 in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the documents produced by the petitioner, and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners and any other third party, whom the 4th respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
