CNR: KAHC010500532026 NC: 2026:KHC:44199 CRL.P No. 10971 of 2026
4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that accused no.2 is the daughter-in-law of deceased Krishnappa. She allegedly had illicit relationship with accused no.1, who is a married man.
This was questioned by the deceased, and therefore, accused no.1 allegedly had quarreled with the deceased on 13.06.2026 and had also assaulted him with hands. Subsequently, deceased had consumed poison on 14.06.2026 and he had died in the hospital on 20.06.2026 while undergoing treatment. 5. It is not in dispute that no complaint was filed by the deceased against accused no.1 with regard to the alleged assault made by him on 13.06.2026. Even though deceased had attempted to commit suicide on 14.06.2026 by consuming poison, no FIR was registered against the accused persons till
20.06.2026. It is only after the death of deceased, his son had approached the police alleging that as a result of the assault made by accused no.1 on 13.06.2026, deceased had committed suicide. - 4 -
