1. The petitioner participated for recruitment in post of Constable (GD), in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2025.
2. The petitioner’s appointment to the post of Constable (GD) had been upheld by a coordinate Bench of this Court. The said order of the learned Single Judge was carried in appeal. The appeal has now been disposed of by the order dated 21st August, 2026 by the Hon’ble Division Bench.
3. A photocopy of the order dated 21st August, 2026 passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench is kept with the records.
4. The order of the learned Single Judge has been upheld and there remains no impediment in issuing the letter of appointment by the authorities in favour of the petitioner.

5. In view thereof, the Chairman, Staff selection Commission being the respondent no. 2 herein is directed to issue the requisite recommendation in favour of the petitioner. The concerned department will issue the letter of appointment on the basis of the recommendation issued by the respondent no. 2.
6. The entire process will be completed within a period of ten weeks from date.
7. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
8. There shall be no order as to costs.
9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
