The instant petition under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed seeking to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner / Accused No.3, in connection with Crime No.20 of 2026 on the file of Gopalapuram Police Station, East Godavari District which is registered for the offences under Sections 137 (1) (b), 143(4) and 61(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 2. Sri P.Gopalakrishna, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner never committed any offence as alleged. Learned

counsel would further submit that the allegations made in the complaint are false and concocted. It is further submitted that, major part of the investigation is completed, as such, the question of tampering the witnesses does not arise. Learned counsel would submit that the Petitioner is ready to furnish sureties to the satisfaction of the Court. Hence, prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner. 3. Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor vehemently opposed the petition and would submit that there are specific allegations against the Petitioner with regard to the commission of the alleged offences. It is further submitted that no case is made out to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner at this stage. 4. Considering the nature of the allegations and the specific accusations made against the Petitioner, this Court is of the view that it is not a fit case to exercise discretion in favour of the Petitioner at this stage. 5. In the result, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. The Petitioner is at liberty to surrender before the concerned Court and move regular bail application. On filing such application, the learned Judge may pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
